Being a member of the FMOQ and practicing in Montreal does not automatically make you a member of the AMOM. Fortunately, joining is easy and free!

Membership Requirements

  • Hold a specialist certificate in family medicine.
  • Practice medicine, either wholly or in part, in the region.
  • Not be a member of any other physician association established under the Professional Syndicates Act.
  • Not be in default  with respect to source deductions required and deducted by the RAMQ as union dues. Physicians not participating in the RAMQ must have paid their annual union dues in full by July 1st of each year.

Signing the AMOM membership form will cancel your current membership in another association since you can only join one of the 19 associations that make up the FMOQ. The association you join receives a share of the union dues (deducted by the FMOQ) to provide services to its members.
