Bill 20: AMOM SAYS “NO”!

For general practitioners in Québec, November 28, 2014 will remain a date marked by anger and disbelief. On that day, contrary to all expectations, the Minister of Health and Social Services, Gaétan Barrette, presented Bill 20 in the National Assembly. Since the bill was introduced, we have seen a rare display of shields being raised among general practitioners. And this is entirely understandable! Let me briefly remind you of what this bill imposes, among others, for all general practitioners. The bill calls for stiff penalties if general practitioners do not care for a minimum number of registered patients and work a minimum number of hours in institutions.
