Dr. Asselin retires from medical politics in the autumn 2013. The vice-president, Dr. Michel Vachon, then becomes the acting president until his election as president in 2014.
On July 15, the AMOM celebrated its 50th anniversary. On the 1st of April, the AMOM held a cocktail event to pay tribute to all the elected members who had worked on half a century’s worth of union activities.
On April 1st, a cocktail party at the Governor’s House was the setting for Dr. Marc-André Asselin’s book launch ‘La petite histoire d’une grande association – 1961-2011’. The book goes over the many milestones of the AMOM. Pictures of the event.
