À la fin de cette conférence, les participants seront en mesure de:
Early intervention and diagnosis of CKD
1. Review the gaps that exist currently pertaining to screening, diagnosis and treatment of CKD at the earlier stage;
2. Discuss the risk stratification of patients with CKD, who should be screened, and what treatment options;
3. Consider the early identification and intervention of CKD according to the KDIGO guidelines.
A new hope for cardio-renal protection in Type 2 diabetes patients
1. Review the recent advances in the prevention of diabetic kidney disease;
2. Appreciate the latest evidence in cardio-renal outcomes of SGLT2i clinical trials;
3. Move towards a new guidance for kidney protections: From trial data to their clinical implications.
Treating COPD in Primary care – How can we change the status quo?
1. Review the burden that COPD exacerbations have on the patient and our health care system;
2. Discuss the current treatment approaches available as per current guidelines from GOLD and CTS – Including role of ICS in COPD;
3. Apply what can be done in 2021 to improve the clinical outcomes of patients.
