By the end of the program, participants will be able to :

Diabetes in 2022: Applying Trial Data to Clinical Practice
1. Describe and overcome the current challenges that exist in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes, including the interconnectivity of the cardiovascular and renal systems;
2. Identify important changes in Diabetes and KDIGO guideline recommendations, in light of new emerging data and integrate this information into clinical practice;
3. Present and manage patient cases to apply the data, and implement strategies to achieve optimal management of patients with type 2 diabetes in practice;
4. Describe and share clinical pearls from personal practice on dietary advice and lifestyle changes to motivate patients from.

Spirometry & Asthma
1.Learn the key measurements and patterns to consider in a spirometry report to diagnose asthma;
2. Design and implement an individualised asthma treatment plan based on recommendations and guidelines in 2022;
3. Describe and implement the management of effort induced asthma in light of the new recommendations and identify the indications when to start an ICS on pure effort induced asthma including considerations relating to the frequency of exercise habits.

Screening for Lung Cancer in the General Practice
1.Cite the epidemiolocal evidence supporting the and screening of lung cancer in 2022 including the NNT and the NNH;
2.Identify the inclusion criteria as well as required investigations and timeline for the diagnosis and stratification of lung cancer;
3. Enumerate the duration of screening and the periodicity for repeat screening;
4. Cite novel treatments in pulmonary oncology and their side effects;
5. Describe and share clinical pearls from personal practice to help patients stop smoking.
